It's bad enough most of the keys on the far left of my Sun keyboard don't work under OpenSolaris to begin with. There really should be better customizations for Gnome. A "Sun" mode with all the key-bindings we're use to would be nice. And yes, some of us still like to use the copy/paste/cut keys on our keyboard while typing. It surprises me that more people have not complained about such issues with Gnome and OpenSolaris. Also, I don't like the behavior where "man" will return the screen to what it was before running.. making it harder to do cut-n-paste or scroll up to re-read a section. That is a major PITA too.

Agreed. One of the reasons why I still use dtterm is because it handles pg up/pg down in a manner that I deem to be "correct" (i.e., it scrolls the terminal window). Contrary to what some people think, customisation is not evil! -- Rich Teer, SCSA, SCNA, SCSECA URLs: http://www.rite-group.com/rich http://www.linkedin.com/in/richteer _______________________________________________ desktop-discuss mailing list desktop-discuss at opensolaris.org
