If you want a new session to appear as a "Session" choice from the GDM login screen, then you need to install a .desktop file in /usr/share/xsessions. If the SFE spec file doesn't install such a desktop file, then it should be fairly easy to add one. Would be nice if the spec-file installed the file.
Note, for example that the SFEenlightenment.spec file installs such a handbuilt desktop file on Solaris. I'd think you could do something similar. Obviously you need to log out and log back in (or reboot) after installing a spec-file like SFEenlightenment for the session choice to become available in the login session menu choice. Or am I misunderstanding your problem. Brian >> wait ... you need to select your session *before* you log in, not >> after. I wasn't paying attention to that aspect, sorry. > I do not seem to have the option for LXDE.
