The last time I used SXCE on my T30 was with B86, the disks are crap and 
need to be replaced (again).  I don't recall the DVD-rom doing that.  
SXDE has now ceased development, so switch to SXCE B91+ please and tell 
me if you still have the issue.  Both of the SXDE's mentioned are 10 
builds out of date or more.
