It's all possible (though not necessarily easy). The best thing you can do is probably look at the gconf schemas, and customize them. The ones you need are - You need to look at the panel-default-setup.entries file in /etc/gconf/ schemas. For each toplevel (ie. top panel, bottom panel), you should be able to work through what objects are available - if you want to align objects on the right, then use the 'panel_right_stick' and set it to true. Then it's just a case of applying them to the database with the following - gconftool-2 --direct --config-source=/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults -- load pane-default-setup.entries gconftool-2 --direct --config-source=/etc/gcon/gcon.xml.defaults -- load panel-default-setup.entries /apps/panel Good luck!
