Hi Rob, Generally speaking, the pkg of Firefox 3.0.1 on mozilla.org is not supposed to replace the Firefox bundled with snv or OpenSolaris. If you want to have the bundled Firefox 3, you should upgrade to newer snv or OpenSolaris builds.
For the warnings, the solution is, don't run firefox as root. See: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/124015 Thanks, Ginn On Jul 30, 2008, at 10:20 PM, rob1weld at aol.com wrote: > I went to this page: > http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.0.1/releasenotes/#contributedbuilds > and > downloaded: > http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0.1/contrib/solaris_pkgadd/firefox-3.0.1.en-US.opensolaris-i386-pkg.bz2 > . > > First a couple of RFE's before the actual bug report: > 1.)
