You are almost there, it seems. I would love a package for Solaris. I will post 
that link on several Solaris forums! :o)  But of course, I would like it better 
if you got xvid codec to work also, if it is not to much trouble. You have done 
99% of the VLC work, and there is only xvid codec left. Would be a shame if I 
spread the word and had to add "but beware, this is a crippled package, it has 
not all codecs as in original VLC". I mean Solaris is better than any other 
Operating System, why would we settle with something inferior?
