Hi Andy,

1) You can start gdm by running
        svcadm enable gdm
I am not sure if cde-login will be disabled automatically. If not, you
should run "svcadm disable cde-login" to disable it first.
2) If you can use gdm as your login manager, you can add a fvwm2.desktop
in /usr/share/xsessions/. By doing this, a new entry will be added to
gdm login dialog.
