XVidCap and Istanbul are other two.  Since you're stuck with the same
license (GPLv2) in all three boats it wouldn't hurt to take a look at
code between them that may benefit your project.  That's what the vision
of cross-pollination was originally about before that license was
created to lock you in but since you're forced to use it, you can eat
the cake in four ways: mashed, mangled, mushed, and crushed.
