It seems your places.sqlite is corrupt.
Is your Firefox profile directory on NFS?

Please create a new profile.

Thanks for pointing me to this bug. I'll keep an eye on it.

A workaround is: turn "dom.ipc.plugins.enabled" to false in about:config and 
restart Firefox.
