Title: usbserial fails to load and 3g modem is not detected by network manager during boot process after kernel update Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Binary package hint: network-manager My 3g modem (Huawei E1550) is completely ignored after booting, this is after updating to the latest ubuntu 10.04 kernel (2.6.32-24), the modem opens a desktop and computer icon but network manager doesn't detect it and usbserial is not loaded (1º file) if I remove the modem and plug it back again then it works fine and the usbserial module is loaded (2ºfile) 3º file is the kernel log.
