It seems that the Android 4.0 update to the phone removed mobile
broadband functionality - USB tethering works now easier (connect phone
to computer, enable "USB tethering" in phone's setting, and voila,
Ubuntu makes the internet work) - so I can't test this anymore on my
phone.
