I have tested this with Software Center 5.2.4 from precise, and the problem is gone, PgDn, PgUp, Home and End can all be used on the details page while the application is installing. Do you still see this?

I will eventually want to go back to the top to check the install progress. Pressing 'Home' doesn't do this at the moment, but it would be nice if it did.
