Title:
Connecting to Internet through HSDP USB modem freezes mouse movement
  -- Huawei E220

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

running ubuntu 10.04 alpha 3 on try without install mode on a HP Pavilion
dv6000 series notebook:
trying to establish an internet connection through my HUAWEI E220 HSDP USB
Modem:
internet connection gets established, but as soon as this gets done the mouse
icon freezes.
On my first try i tried to ctrl+alt+f1 but that didnt work-> system didnt
respond to any key (not even after
removing the modem; not even the power button)
on my second try i tried to alt+tab (to the system monitor i had open, which
showed no difference while connecting
and while the mouse freezed), and then mouse worked normally again.
