Status in “texlive-extra” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
The package texlive-latex-extra is out of date. Of course I have
already run "sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade". Just one
example: compare the version of the moderncv template found in
/usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/moderncv/ whith the updated one in
CTAN
http://ftp.gui.uva.es/sites/ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/moderncv
This older version doesn't work with the the examples provided in
CTAN. I imagine that the other templates found in this package are out
of date too.
A patch until it is updated is:

sudo texhash #este comando actualiza los ficheros
Anyway the modercv template still needs some updates in order to
remove the warning from hyperref, but that is another bug
