I use elementary OS, which is based on Ubuntu 12.04. Elementary OS uses the Pantheon desktop environment, which is based entirely on GTK 3. I installed vino so I could enable remote VNC access, but it did not show up in my applications menu. After some digging I found that the /usr/share/applications/vino- preferences.desktop file contained an OnlyShowIn entry with only Gnome and Unity listed. If Pantheon could be added to the list, this would remove a lot of headache for a lot of users who could benefit from this software. Thank you for your consideration!
