Workaround #2:

Install "gphotofs" package.
In terminal - create a folder - e.g. PowerShot:

> mkdir PowerShot

Next turn on camers in view mode, and type:

> gphotofs PowerShot/

Now files are available in file manager/browser (Files).
I could not unmount camera in file manager - so in terminal i typed:

> killall gphotofs

Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have a Canon Powershot A3200 camera. It works perfectly on 12.04,
  pops right up when I plug it in. However on 14.04 nothing happens.

  lsusb outputs shows that the camera is detected, with the right model.
