Status in The Somerville Project: Won't Fix Status in X.Org X server: Won't Fix Status in Xorg Xserver VESA: Invalid Status in “linux-source-2.6.22” package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Status in “xserver-xorg-video-vesa” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: On a Lanai (Inspiron 1420) system with the NVIDIA 8400M GS card (and using the vesa driver), when an external monitor is connected to it, pressing Fn+F8 does not display anything on the external monitor (when doing so, the screen on the Lanai goes blank, as expected). Pressing Fn+F8 a second time displays the screen back on the laptop's LCD. I tried several monitors and also ran 'dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg' to make sure the right horizontal/vertical frequencies were supported. I only tried resolutions smaller than 1024x768.
