  simple-scan crashed with SIGSEGV in scanner_do_read()

Status in “simple-scan” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  This happened when trying to scan from a Brother DCP-7065DN over the
  network and networked saned.

  The scanner started scanning, simple-scan displayed the orange line at
  the top, scanner stopped and timed out after a half minute or so.
