Before 12.04 it has worked without any problems. After a fresh install of 12.04 sound seemed to work but after the system has been up for some time there is no audio output, audio applications occasionally freeze and the audio interfaces occasionaly dissapear from the output dialogue in the sound settings in the system settings.
