** Description changed: After installing Ubuntu 18.04, I updated and upgraded the system using terminal, installed Ubuntu-mate-welcome and Gnome Tweak Tool. Then I restarted my machine. After login into the system, I don't see anyway to click on any of the icons and opening terminal using "Ctrl+Alt+T". I also went to recovery mode to repair the broken packages and cleaning the system. But after login, I faced the same problem. To reproduce the error: 1. Install Ubuntu with of the essential packages. 2. Login into the system. 3. Observe the error. + --- + ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7 + Architecture: amd64 + DisplayManager: gdm3 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 + InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-05-10 (0 days ago) + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS "Bionic Beaver" - Release amd64 (20180426) + Package: gnome-shell 3.28.1-0ubuntu2 + PackageArchitecture: amd64 + ProcEnviron: + TERM=linux + PATH=(custom, no user) + XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> + LANG=en_IN + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-20.21-generic 4.15.17 + Tags: bionic third-party-packages + Uname: Linux 4.15.0-20-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo + _MarkForUpload: True ** Attachment added: "Dependencies.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1770459/+attachment/5137501/+files/Dependencies.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1770459 Title: Ubuntu 18.04 after restarting laptop keyboard and touchpad not working Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: After installing Ubuntu 18.04, I updated and upgraded the system using terminal, installed Ubuntu-mate-welcome and Gnome Tweak Tool.
