Hello Aaron, Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with hplip. You made this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu and hplip have been updated since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket? If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug? If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run the following (only once): apport-collect 477045 and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue. Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and hplip better. HPLIP was working correctly in Karmic. This is my fiancee's machine and she thinks that it ran out of battery and isn't sure whether it shut itself down, suspended, hibernated etc. Since that happened, she thinks that the two jobs were deleted from the queue. Now, when we print photos in the same way that was working before, it says "Job held until [current time + 5 mins]". When you click "release" or it gets to that time, it just refreshes the time to another 5 mins later. I have tried turning the printer off and back on. I have removed HPLIP (including configuration files) and reinstalled it. I deleted the printer and set it back up again. I turned the computer off at the wall and turned it back on. I'm running out of ideas, so any help would be appreciated.
