As of a recent release (I'm not exactly sure which one, but has been since the release of yakkety), this no longer works and both options simply open a blank window in the running Firefox instance. If there's no Firefox running, Profile Manager will display as normal, but this is no different to when Firefox is started without parameters. Expected behaviour: -ProfileManager or -P without a profile specified should open the Firefox Profile Manager regardless of whether a Firefox instance is running.
