Thanks. It looks like the problem is indeed coming from the hardware, or
the kernel:

At time '1572507471.042024' you got both the left and right buttons
going down in precisely the same microsecond. Then only a few
milliseconds later the right button was released. Much later (a tenth of
a second) the left button was released. So yeah it looks like only the
left button was a real click from a human :)

It looks like a faulty mouse, sorry. Maybe the buttons get physically
stuck together sometimes and can just be cleaned out somehow?

Title:
Right click happens automatically, disturbs work

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Since the last 3-4 days, the right click happens all by itself.
Sometimes replacing the left click, while working in Inkscape or
handling files on desktop for a fully updated 18.04. It is so annoying
and good enough to destroy the work we are doing. I manually cleaned
my mouse just in case hardware is causing the issue

I tried using Cinnamon DE. There was no such issue in it.

It would be great if there could be a fix. Thanks.
