display freezes when magnifier is activated

Bug description:
When I activate the zoom feature, the screen is well magnified but the mouse
pointer stops moving when displacing the mouse, the display is frozen. A kind
of shadow mouse pointer seems to be moving behind with hover effects on UI
components, but the screen and "real" mouse pointer don't.
When I deactivate the magnifier, the problem disappears.
I can see this error message appearing in the logs when I activate the
magnifier at 20:23 :
