Hi all, Just a friendly reminder: we should be very comfortable with backing patches out when they burn the tree. If you land something and a test goes red, please back it out immediately, grab a coffee and then take the time to figure it out. Fixing bugs with a gun to your head isn't much fun anyway.
This is also something sheriffs should be very comfortable doing, so if you are one (or play one occasionally) please feel very empowered to back things out. Keeping the tree green--or at least a pale orange--and open is paramount for productivity and quality. Turning tests off should also be a rare situation. Its not anyone's idea of a fun time, but if a patch starts triggering random oranges, then I think that developer should feel empowered and encouraged to at least try to fix that test. Thanks! Lucas. _______________________________________________ dev-b2g mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-b2g
