I'm not sure about your issue but I'd recommend using the backup/restore tool: https://github.com/Mozilla-TWQA/B2G-flash-tool/blob/master/backup_restore_profile.sh
Tim - if you don't have a backup, you may consider trying that tool and restoring on top of a master build. Also Aurora is currently hosed and the tree is closed. I'd especially recommend staying away from Aurora updates until the tree is green.
