The drivers are needed for the phone to be recognized as a valid device. Once the drivers are recognized, we can use the adb_usb.ini method in it. We found unsigned drivers on the internet, for which Windows 8 developers have to turn off device signing check. However, even using the modifications to adb_usb.ini, ADB Helper add-on does not show the device.
