Well, I think it's a good aproach, fxos is not implementing open acl, but OEMs are. If firefoxOS 2.5 is customizable and hackable for users why it whouldn't be for OEMs ? So why mozilla would restrict such apps on the marketplace ?

Note that OpenMobile ACL seem to be an independent project from FirefoxOS, it's also on TIZEN [1]

The other thing is that in the new Mozilla strategy, we're not focusing on low-end devices anymore.
