Thanks :) I agree with what you said. I think the core problem is that there's no single Android platform that we can program for. Each device is it's own environment that requires at least some separate testing and maintenance. So any update is currently specific to a device. Improving this situation is an important goal and we're exploring ideas for making Firefox OS more modular, more portable, and easier to update on all levels. For some devices there's also a legal side, but I don't know much about that.
