Socket
Benjamin,
Try running verify_install.cgi from the command line and see if it works
(just drop out to the directory where it lives and run "perl
verify_install.cgi")
If it does, check your web server to make sure that IUSR_[machinename]
has read privilege to this file:
c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\protocol
If not,
cacls c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc /t /e /g
IUSR_[machinename]:r
should do the trick

Subject: ERROR: Unable to establish
Socket
Does anyone know why this may be
happening. I am running NT 4.0 with activestate build 618 version 5.6
and have generated a new private key and have the servers on the
horizons.opensrs.org settings and still I get this:
ERROR: Unable to establish
Socket
Everything else comes back fine on the
verify_install.cgi located at:
http://www.micn.net/cgi-bin/verify_install.cgi
Can anyone help.
Thanks,
Ben
