Hi,
search the list anf you will find lot of discussion on the "clients"
subject. Also on Sourceforge.net there are many projects/implementation
(PHP, Java, C++...).

In August several developers in the list have discussed a fast & easy way to
have a COM component "reusing" the Perl platform on Windows, among whom
Benjamin Brub, Tony Levaggi and others.

At this time there must be more than one developer working on a more modular
client than the Perl one. Peraphs we should join forces a little more ...

On .NET I must say the new Perl.NET support from Activestate seems to be a
very exciting way of porting the old client into a native COM+ object
quickly and easily, but the astonishing simplicity of both Brub's and
Levaggi's solutions make this option quite unuseful, for me.

Have a good day,
gsa
