Yes, I had once thought that, too. NetSol had extended the domain's period
by 1 year, just as it was being transferred. This is just another unfair
trade practice: giving away what we sell. It is a tactic to lessen the
profitability of their competition -- us.
You will find you were not charged for the renewal.
