I think you're referring to a note in the HOWTO that indicates
that it doesn't work properly under the Perl DLL.  This may well
be untrue now; that warning was added quite some time ago
when we were running (I think) V1.9.7...in fact the warning
was added on Aug 10, 2000, so YMMV definitely applies.  At
that time, I think ActiveState was shipping a Perl DLL that
was somewhat different from the current PerlIIS (which is --
I believe -- a more complete implementation).

If you complete your testing and find that everything
works OK with PerlIIS, let me know and I'll update the
HOWTO.
