Hey, More times that not, our clients get an 'OPS Timeout' error when registering new .ca domains. This is thanks to CIRA. Anyway, when a client gets this error, they think the registration did not go through, but it usually does. The problem is that the client then immediately re- submits the registration. The second attempt usually comes back 'okay', however the first attempt that returned the 'OPS Timeout' error was also processes. The end result is we get paid for one year but the domain gets renewed for two.
Since CIRA seems incapable of improving the reliability and responsiveness of their system, could you code the ability to process new .ca registrations later? Right now, the resellers interface allows me to process new registrations later, but for all extensions. I would like only the .ca extension to confirm later, so that I can review them and process them manually after submitting. James
