Hi Colin,

1) It only prevents transfers and nameserver updates.

2) Yes, this possible and is explained in our API documentation. Also the latest
client code offers this as an option during registration.

Hope this helps.

Have a nice weekend,

Subject: Domain locking

A couple of quickies:

1) If a domain is locked, does that prevent updates to the whois information
by the sponsoring RSP as well? Do you need to unlock the domain first, then
update the whois, then lock it again? What exactly is prevented when a
domain is locked?

2) Can you lock a domain during registration (i.e. part of the sw_register
command), or does it take 2 commands (if so, can you lock immediately after
registration, or do you have to wait 60 days or something).

Thanks!

- Colin
