Use of the client is free, yes, but we pay a premium for domain
registrations. Bugs fixed in the SERVER code are fixed for client
software in all languages. I am not just talking about the perl API.

The issue is NOT just client side.
A lot of it is lack of documentation.
Some of it is simply lack of response on the part of tucows. There have
been changes made and bugs fixed in response to things we have said on
this list, but we were not informed of the fixes.

Tucows is making good progress, but the job is not even close to being
done, and they are realeasing yet another new interface.

That is off topic. You have good arguments, but I would like to see the
current mechanisms fixed so that we can do our job, and so that new
customers do not have to fight so much with the API.

> New products mean new revenue, fixing client software bugs is a cost...

Tucows is releasing new products. Good for them.

NOT fixing bugs, and NOT making it easy for resellers to write code, be it
in PERL, PHP, or whatever, is going to cost as well, because people may
decide it is too hard.
