Use of the client is free, yes, but we pay a premium for domain registrations. Bugs fixed in the SERVER code are fixed for client software in all languages. I am not just talking about the perl API. The issue is NOT just client side. A lot of it is lack of documentation. Some of it is simply lack of response on the part of tucows. There have been changes made and bugs fixed in response to things we have said on this list, but we were not informed of the fixes.
