http://blog.johnford.org/writting-a-native-rm-program-for-windows/ says that it deleted a mozilla-central clone 3x faster. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=727551 is the bug tracking it; there appear to be some problems blocking progress.
