This appears to be a security restriction:
window.open still provides for "dependent" status
(https://developer.mozilla.org/en/DOM/window.open )
but it does not seem to work.
I know that many in the community don't like a window to be
dependent, but it is important for a company intranet application
(no outside access).
I there another way to accomplish this and/or could someone send
me a link on how to set UniversalBrowserWrite privilege.
When I try, FF 3.5.1 just refuses, without asking the user.
