A reverse lookup on the latter gives url.hover.com -- that's not right. Currently Mozilla is hosting getfirebug.com but it did start as a private project. Is it possible that was the original host? Benign explanation might be that some DNS local to you has cached an old value and refuses to give it up? More sinister, someone is messing with your traffic? You were less specific with what error you got with this one. Presumably /not/ the name mismatch because the non-blog site is on a different IP address and doesn't appear to even support SSL. But the blog is running on a host named "generic" in our datacenter so maybe there are other services there and you're getting the same "wrong site" symptoms you got with the firebug blog. Have you tried reaching those sites from other browsers and/or other machines?
