This seems the preferable route to me.
I agree with others on producing DXR input from another tool. Java is
much easier to deal with than C/C++. Various Java froend-ends seem to be
a lot more mature than anything C++ has to offer.
And if you want to be dehydra-like, can hook up
Rhino(http://www.mozilla.org/rhino/) to whatever java analysis framework
you decide on.
