My general thoughts are that the client branches should be kept stable, maybe being updated every time there is a c-sdk release. I think that patches should only be applied to a client branch when they are needed for bustage or major bug fixes, and as per Mozilla tree rules, they will need the sr of a developer (typically Dan).

Ok. Then I guess all we need to do is when we make bug fixes on the trunk, add Dan as a CC on the bug and just note that the fix is a good candidate for inclusion in the client.

The better way would be to "edit" the patch and set the superreview flag to '?' and enter Dan's email alongside it. That's how everyone else requests reviews, and I think its more noticeable than just a comment on a bug as they can easily get lost in the many mails people get.
