In most cases that will work. It will cause some warnings on other
platforms, but nothing fatal. I have not verified that you can ship an x86
and x86_64 .so and have the dll loader know which one will load. But I'm
hoping it's at least that smart.

I'm a little surprised that doesn't work, but perhaps there's some issue
with the extra hyphen.
