Yes, I created a thread in the master which logged a message every 10
seconds, and killed and restarted the master on a few different ports. It's how
I found that I needed to check for a change in the `modified zookeeper
transaction id` instead of just a change in the value... otherwise it wouldn't
update if the monitor was restarted at the same location.
