Hi - Yes, the clients (5.16.x) are compatible with 5.17.x broker - Java 11 is required broker side, client using Java8 (with previous AMQ 5.16.x version) for instance can use 5.17.x broker without problem - No concrete matrix as it's backward compatible in term of protocol. We plan a compatibility matrix for 5.18.x where we plan to support JMS 2.x preview.
