My proposal is more to move the console to another repository, and
remove it by default from the broker.

Apache Karaf Decanter already provides Grafana plugins for ActiveMQ.
So, I agree with Andy and you that it makes sense to have the "new"
webconsole powered by plugins on an existing tool. Let me explore this
part.

Clearly, it would be great to have an alternative to the existing
console (especially the spring controller) in ActiveMQ 7.
