Hey Everyone

Organizations for Google Summer of Code 2019
<https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/> were announced on 26th February.
The Apache Software Foundation is one of the selected organizations. [1]

Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more student
developers into open source software development. Students work with an
open source organization on a 3-month programming project during their
break from school. [2]

I am a student from Delhi in my final year of engineering.
I want to work on a project in Airflow as part of Google Summer of Code. I
have a few questions regarding the same.

A. *Will Airflow participate in GSoC? *
For participation in GSoC, mentors are needed that can guide a student
through the project. It would be great if any committers/contributors can
be mentors.
More info in the ASF GSoC Mentor Guide

B. *What are some possible ideas for a project?*
Are there any ideas that the community wants to see implemented?
AIPs can be ideas for GSoC(Eg: AIP 14: Create composable operators using
common interfaces
<https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AIRFLOW/AIP-14+Create+composable+operators+using+common+interfaces>),
or it can be something like adding support for a particular database. There
are a lot of possibilities. I would like to know the community's opinion on
what would be suitable for a GSoC project.
