Hey Feng, Everyone, I would love to come from Poland and speak at the Bay Area Meetup.
*Talk:* The talk I would like to give has a working title "I*t's a Breeze to develop Airflow*". *Content:* I would like to talk about tools and techniques we developed and used to improve productivity and teamwork in our team (of 5 currently) while developing 70+ operators for Airflow over more than 6 months. It will be fairly general Airflow-development related talk with some GCP twist (as this is where our focus is mostly). *About me:* Jarek Potiuk. I am Principal Software Engineer @ Polish Software House Polidea <https://www.polidea.com/> (former CTO who returned back to his Engineering roots) with more than 20 years of engineering experience. I am an ex-Googler (left Google 10 years ago). Regarding speaking experience - I am quite an experienced speaker. I spoke already a number of times at various conferences and meet-ups. I also organised meet-ups and conferences myself, including being main organiser of five editions of MCE <https://2018.mceconf.com/> conference - with 600+ attendees almost every year. I spoke two times already about Airflow (at PyWaw <https://www.meetup.com/PyWaw-Python-Warsaw-User-Group/> meetup and GDG Dev Fest Warsaw <https://www.meetup.com/GDG-Warszawa/events/254127572/>) - together with Szymon Przedwojski who is member of our team. I can provide some links/videos to my presentations if needed (though we are still waiting for recording of the English GDG DevFest Airflow presentation). We are often travelling to US/Silicon Valley to meet our project partners and customers, so this might be great opportunity to come regardless :). I think eventually (depends on our load and arrangements) more people from our team in Poland will come to the Bay Area Meetup (and US in general), and it will be a great opportunity to meet fellow Airflowers. Regarding the Airflow involvement - I am quite active in trying to improve developers experience for engineers working on Airflow operators. There are three AIP's where I am actively involved (and where I apply what we've learned and developed while working on the operators): - AIP-10 Multi-layered and multi-stage official Airflow image <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AIRFLOW/AIP-10+Multi-layered+and+multi-stage+official+Airflow+image?src=contextnavpagetreemode> - AIP-7 Simplified development workflow <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AIRFLOW/AIP-7+Simplified+development+workflow> - AIP-4 Support for System Tests for external systems <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AIRFLOW/AIP-4+Support+for+System+Tests+for+external+systems> Providing there will be good reception from community, by June time some of that (or maybe all :)) work might get merged hopefully and I can present things that will be already part of Airflow then ;).
