*Summary* We want to have an official production-ready Docker image that will be used in production-ready helm chart. Both should be usable in production environment. Some basic criteria are size (as small as possible), reliability (using proven dependencies), security (latest patch base images should be updated automatically), maintainability (it's built from scratch every time we merge commit to master), versatility (usable in many environments - Celery/Kubernetes executor) and extensibility (everyone will be able to build FROM the image to add their own extensions if needed). *More details* I think we had some reasonable discussion in the thread https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/fc2e1a579c8b21d464f4b8fef4647e3649e5b338052847a397ed0715@%3Cdev.airflow.apache.org%3E I am already pretty advanced on prerequisites to have an early version of the Production-ready docker image (in master) and the PR Draft for POC is here https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/6501 The vote will last a bit longer than 72 hours as it will include the weekend - till Monday 11th of November 11pm CET.
