Apache Airflow newsletter for anyone too busy to read the devlist.
*Apache Airflow newsletter*

*What's new in the project? November 2020.*

1️⃣ *Apache Airflow 1.10.13 was released Nov 25th*. Although it contains a
bug <https://github.com/apache/airflow/issues/12659>related to
task_concurrency and depends_on_past: The fix for it had been merged and
1.10.14rc1 was released later on.

2️⃣ apache-airflow-upgrade-check 1.0.0 was released on Nov 25 too and is
available for download via PIP: *pip install apache-airflow-upgrade-check*

3️⃣We have received credits from AWS to speed up our CI! 🥳Thank you Amazon
Web Services ❤️

*4️⃣ We have now non-conflicting PIP dependencies in Airflow 2.0 and
1.10.14. *That plagued us for quite some time but is now fixed (and
prevented from happening in the future). However new PIP 20.3 released in
November has bugs that break Airflow installation:
https://github.com/pypa/pip/issues/9203 so use the 20.2.4 of PIP for now to
install Airflow!

*5️⃣ *We have now coloured output in our CI to aid with easier error solving

6️⃣ Airflow installation documentation enhancement

7️⃣ We are looking forward to Amazon becoming active member of the
community and contributing back, after announcing the Amazon Managed
Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA)
<https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2020/11/introducing-amazon-managed-workflows-for-apache-airflow-mwaa/>

8️⃣ *[SPOILER ALERT] *Apache Airflow 2.0 has been released as of Dec 17th!
Congrats to everyone involved for their hard work. BTW, Tomasz Urbaszek has
already prepared the Airflow 2.0 tutorial
<https://www.polidea.com/blog/apache-airflow-2-tutorial/?utm_source=AN&utm_medium=Npaid&utm_campaign=CL&utm_term=Article&utm_content=AN_NOP_CL_ART_Airflow2>.
Check
it out and let us know what you think.
