Dear Airflow developers, The first week of April (3-5, April) there will be a workshop at CERN on the current and future use of workflow languages in analysis in particle physics at the LHC (https://indico.cern.ch/e/workflow-languages-workshop). We (the organisers) would like to also get the opinions of the broader scientific open source community on the applications and benefits of workflows to their areas of science and to better understand how these communities have been able to adopt workflow languages for their needs.
We are looking for someone who has significant experience in the use of Apache Airflow in a research and large data context and were pointed to this email list by Jarek Potiuk. As developers of Apache Airflow, you certainly experts in Apache Airflow. It would also be great to compare Airflow to Luigi since the latter is already being used in the particle physics community. Would one of you be available and willing to participate and give a talk on this subject? Or could you recommend someone else from the Airflow community who would be interested in giving such a talk? We would be able to support travel to CERN for the duration of the workshop. However, the workshop will have a remote connection if you would be unable to travel.
